मनातला सह्याद्री आणि आम्ही....

अगोदर ते घाणेरडे मातीचे कपडे वेगळे ठेव! आदिवासी कुठचा!...घरी आल्या आल्या मिळणारा धमकीवजा आदेश नेहमीच कानावर पडतो. पण सध्या, आमच्या अंगा-खांद्यावरून घरात येणाऱ्या मातीची जागा समुद्राच्या वाळूने घेतलीय आणि आज ती 'उंदेरी-खान्देरी' या जोडगळीची होती. या किल्ल्याना भेट द्यायची म्हणजे स्पेशल बोट करावी लागते आणि नावाड्याला आपला दिवस मोडून यावं लागत असल्याने पैसेही तसेच लागतात. यात काही वावग नाही; साधासुधा व्यवहार. या आमच्या सफरीतला हा पोर्शन पार पडायला मदत केली ती सचिनच्या (आणि आता माझ्याही) एका मित्राने...अमित शिंदे, दुर्गवीर....या सह्याद्रीत रमणाऱ्या अनेक दुर्गविरांसारखाच पण आपल्या संस्थेचं नाव लावणारा...'दुर्गवीर प्रतिष्ठान'. हा रविवार, सचिन आणि माझ्यासाठीही तसा मोकळाच होता म्हणून 'पद्मदुर्ग' साठी प्लॅन करत होतो पण तो शनिवारी फसला. दिवस सार्थकी लावावा म्हणून रात्री ९.३०ला फन अँड फिट जिमच्या ट्रेडमिलवर 'खान्देरी-उंदेरी' चा 'प्लॅन बी' आखला. अमितची हि मोहीम ठरलेली होती. आम्ही त्याला जॉईन करण्यासाठी विचारल आणि ठरल. आमच्या सवडीप्रमाणे म्हणा किंव...

Trek to Chanderi Fort... Saturday 9.35pm: I called up Sachin, "यार खूप बोर झालोय; चल जरा पाय मोकळे करून येऊ!". Sachin as always, "चल! बोल कुठे जायचं!!" Sunday 5.00am: I started my bike and picked up Sachin from his Society. As decides we both has thought of few spots at night. After discussion of around 10, we decided for 'चंदेरी'. Actually speaking, none of us been to Chanderi before, even if it is close to Mumbai. May be 'A nearest hence Neglected one'. Bike wheels started rolling from Dombivli along with discussion on schedule and route we need to follow. 'श्रावणसरी' was our third partner who started from Dombivali with us. By taking a left from 'Kasgaon' on pipeline road, we reached at base village at around 7.00am  i.e. Chinchvali and started taking help of most dependable source of trek information... काका, मामा, आजी. Trek to Aundha Fort This is the trek which we have postponed twice in last one month due to heavy rainfall in that region. Finally, today was the day for it.... Fort: Aundha Height: 4400 Feet Mountain Range: Kalsubai District: Nashik If anyone want to experience result of heavy deforestation, should visit to this region. Excessive deforestation has deserted this area. Throughout the trek we were searching for single tree under which we can take rest for a moment but No luck. This region is full lush green grass and numbers of giants Windmills. We started from Dombivli at around 5.00am on bike. After 4 hours of bike ride  we reached 'Ninavi Village' near 'Egatpuri' at 9.00am. We take a left from 'Kadwa colony', to rech 'Ninavi  Village' is around 3 to 4 km away.
